I technically didn't press the button on this picture, but it was in manual & I did all the settings, lets call my husband a remote timer. That is me & my daughter on her first day of Kindergarten this year. She was so excited she didn't care for goodbyes so I kind of caught her off guard with mine. I didn't know which one to enter this week so I went funny :) Hope it made you chuckle as I did when I was surprised by it on my camera.

This week in Delaware we were visited by a lady named Irene, you might have heard of her. Well she kept me pretty distracted from this week's challenge and I almost didn't have anything to enter. But after I returned home from our evacuation point, I stepped outside and looked up. For the first time in days the clouds were white & fluffy because they were happy! Not gray & angry like the night before. Our family & house are safe, and this captures that; This is the Calm After The Storm.

Meet Diesel! I had the honor of taking his picture during a photo session & although I had many to choose from including my own pets I chose this one for one reason; he is a pitbull. This photo shows that pitbulls are not what everyone makes them out to be. I have a mix pit, and Diesel is 100% pit. It's not the dog, it's the owner! The SPCAs are full of these magnificent, protective but loving dogs. It is so sad! Don't underestimate them, I didn't and I love my little Lucy girl, I couldn't have asked for a better dog :)

I heart faces/beautiful eyes

Beautiful Eyes

This is my 15 month old son Ryan and these glasses are not a prop, he has been wearing them for 3 months now. As soon as I heard about this week's challenge I had the perfect idea. I wanted to catch those beautiful eyes peaking out over his glasses because he is always doing it. & on a side note in his glasses if this photo were pulled out, you would see that he has a strong resemblance to the kid from Jerry McGuire lol which you can check out on my website or FB page :)

We March as One

This photo was taken during the 12th annual Ruck March in honor of the Korean War Veterans, which I participated in. 6.2 miles, 30lb ruck sacks, and in full uniform. I was part of an all girl team that just wanted to finish. We did and not last place in under 2 hours. We were proud!

This week was to capture a picture with your cellphone (I finally feel on even ground lol) but I captured this last night after my husband & I returned home from our 2nd anniversary dinner date. Our 9 month old son has a tooth coming through and will teeth on almost anything, even daddy. I love my boys.

I wonder how much slobber one baby can produce?

My little man doesn't do much, at least not what most 8 month old babies are doing. He is taking his sweet time growing up & mommy is happy with that! He doesn't sit up, he rarely rolls, he doesn't want to stand even with help but he has discovered that he can blow raspberries. I love this kid, massive amounts of slobber and all!
