This picture was taken when we got our kitten Neko, which is Japanese for Cat. My daughter who was born in Japan named her. This cat has changed a lot in the past year but still loves my daughter, and that is all that matters.

At this time in my life it doesn't matter that I am a wife, mother, daughter or friend; I am an Airman. We commit to the core values: Integrity First, Excellence in all we do & Service before self. I know that what I do today will make a better tomorrow for the times I sacrifice, and it is all worth it in my eyes.

Week 47/Paper

This photo was taken to chronicle my husband's recent deployment. We created the "snake" as my daughter called it to represent the time passing. When the snake was all gone it would be when daddy returned. Each ring had a message or an activity for her to do that day. You can see the rest of these pictures and some of the messages on my facebook fan page. I am happy to say the snake ended just last week. He is home with us once again.

This picture was taken with my old camera, a starter camera, but I still love it. I don't expect to "win" because of technical quality of the camera but to me it is still a great picture. This is my beautiful cousin Porsha in Fort Hunter, Pennsylvania.

Week 44/Fall

This is my favorite time of year in Pennsylvania. Right now I am active duty Air Force stationed in Delaware, this is the first time in over 10 years that I have been stationed somewhat close to home. I have been on the other side of the country or overseas. I have seen a lot of places but no where comes close to Pennsylvania when it comes to the Autumn. This picture was taken at my dad's house, up in the mountains where the trees are at their most vivid & the air is fresh and crisp. Every time I go up there during this season, I know I am home.

Week 43/Breast Cancer Awareness

Week 43

Breast Cancer is very aware in my family. My Grandmother & Mother are both young survivors and every day it crosses my mind, when me. I had many ideas for this week but this is this most important and scariest for me. I will deal if my turn comes, but what about my daughter. This is my beautiful friend Kendall & her gorgeous daughter Jayden representing my fear that my daughter will have to face this someday. We are bound together by this. I pray for a cure.

Week 41/I heart BEEF

Week 41

For this week's challenge of BEEF, I had to go a different route. I am an active duty Air Force SSgt with a deployed husband, 2 kids, a part time photography job & a dog! I do not always have a lot of time to cook but this weekend the kids & I hit up the beach and I was able to get this shot during our lunch break. The next best thing to a home cooked meal is one I don't have to clean up after!! Thanks Five Guys Burgers & Fries!!!
